Dreams in the Wind
Year of Kings. Day 328. We sent out the music to labels - dreams in the wind, ships out to sea. Music is such an individual choice. People like music that I don’t like. I think we have enough of a story to make people pay attention at these labels - now we just have to find the one person who likes what they hear.
Year of Kings. Day 329. Back in the box. Practice tonight at Craig’s old family home, on a dirt road, in Swannanoa NC, in his old bedroom. We have a line of shows from May through June. So April is a work month, double practices, writing, getting this sharper and sharper.
Year of Kings. Day 330. 2 1/2 hour practice. Feels like 5 minutes. And there so much more to say and do and try. Then it’s back to the real world - but the new songs and the new new songs and the new new new songs rattle around my brain and I wake up in the middle of the night to write down new lyrics.
Year of Kings. Day 331. We’ve got shows every weekend in May and June, so we’re just gonna start highlighting some of these. I do love the classic three band set-up, get up on stage, hit the set hard, grab our gear off stage, and the next band plays. This will be super fun - at The Outpost, May 24, with 40-20-10s and Fashion Bath.
Year of Kings. Day 332. Ordering thumb drives. This is the week each of the labels/management companies get thumb drives of the unreleased album. We’re not going away - so these labels might as well listen to DCK.
