Wild River

Year of Queens. Day 158. I feel this acutely today: I am done with limitations. Dark City Kings is about creating the prettiest song, the catchiest song, the song that makes you feel. Today is the day to send out emails to my favorite venues in the state of North Carolina and look toward playing on so many cool stages.

Year of Queens. Day 159. DCK is a big band. When we’re all in the same practice space, when we’re all on the same stage - we make the heavens shake.

Day 160. Year of Queens. Next Friday we’ve going to be part of a fundraiser for @bounty_and_soul at @whitehorseblackmtn with @janxspiritavl and @whywhyavl and @broken_sound309. It’ll be an evening of great music and hanging out with the community. Come on down.

Year of Queens. It’s too late to be afraid. It’s too late to be timid. It’s too late to be nervous. It’s too late to be intimidated. Those are all luxuries - and this world has no space for those luxuries.
