Connected

Year of Queens. Day 148. This land and this people will always carry these scars. This is hallowed ground and the people have lived through floods and destruction and responded with strength and determination and kindness. We are all connected.

Year of Queens. This is the time of the year when the veil between the spirit world and our world is the thinnest. Ghosts walk the streets and there’s an extra bit of magic in the air. I feel it this year.

Day 150. Year of Queens. Sometimes the light shines too bright to see.

Day 151. I think we’re finally slipping out of the Indie Euro Chart. This is the truth - if things go wrong then I beat myself up. If things go right…. I just try to ignore them. Releasing the album, with this crew, with Kevin Moloney producing, it’s just been all so nice.

Year of Queens. Day 151. It’s not enough to just get on stage. It’s not enough to just be in band. We want to change the way this world spins.

Year of Queens. Day 152. We have some shows planned in November. When we get back on stage we’re gonna do this for real. This doesn’t mean we’re gonna play louder or faster or flail around. We’re gonna try to be absolutely true and to connect with you and lift you up.
