Year of Kings. Day 359. Packages with the album “Love Is Punk,” recorded with @kevin.moloney.music at @citizenvinyl, are on thumb drives, with stickers, pins, letters. Sent off to labels and management. Messages in bottles. Ships out to sea. Dreams in the night.

Year of Kings. Day 360. I was looking back on my phone for the first photos of the Dark City Kings inception. The first “Dark City Kings” show was… 3 years ago? 4 years ago? Me Bayla and Colleen played at the Black Mountain Brewery - and I was so nervous - but there was a couple from Morganton who watched and chatted and hung out with us and seemed to have a good time. There was another show with a Colleen and Bayla and Craig. We were just trying to fit the pieces together and make this work, and hope that this would work.

Year of Kings. Day 361. This is how to make a set list: 1) Each original song is represented by the last letter of the title. 2) Multiply each cover song by 17 and then divide it by three. 3) If one car is driving at 20 miles an hour and is currently 30 miles away from a complete disaster and a second vehicle is 50 miles away and going 30 miles an hour… 4) Make a list of everyone you’ve kissed. 5) Draw a picture of a butt.
