Stories

Year of Kings. Day 353. Craig’s kid - who is total genius - has been in town this past week. He’s been kind enough to join in with Dark City Kings fun - adding some brains and cool to our operation.

Year of Kings. Day 354. I ordered thumb drives for our songs from our recording with @kevin.moloney.music. I ordered them cheap - all the way from China - so they just came in on Friday. I put the entire unreleased album onto 20 thumb drives and I’ll be sending these out to labels this week.

Year of Kings. Day 355. 10 days left in the year. Where did it all start? Where is this heading? Where did this belief come from? We have good songs - that’s the answer. Somehow we found this tiny seed in the dark. Have you ever planted seeds in the spring? They’re these tiny barren grains - and then with a little light and a little warmth and a little attention they suddenly explode with energy. We have good songs.

Year of Kings. Day 356. I write stories because I know I will be in a better place by the end of them. I knew the band would be in a better place, would have so many adventures, if I’d just write the story of this year. Challenges, bad weather, storms? We’d get through them all if we stayed together and wrote this story together.
