Year of Queens. Day 22. Have faith in how all the parts fit. This band isn’t like a regular band - it’s not 4 dudes. It has different parts and different sounds and different people - and - it all fits together. Have faith in this band because all the parts fit.

Year of Queens. Day 23. A band is group of people who just show up to make music together. A musician is someone who just has to make music. It hurts a musician when they can’t make music. Making music is part of their life, how we process life, and without music we feel like the world just isn’t as rich and cool and fun.

Year of Queens. Day 24. Writing songs is like being an antenna, being a magpie, being a pickpocket, a thief in the night, a mystic in a cave. Just staying open until there’s something in the air that we can snatch, that is real, true, a melody line that sticks.
