One Year

Year of Queens. Day 73. Weirdos. Muppets. We’re just taking some unusual instruments - like tuba and cajon - and making - with all our heart - our best idea of beauty.

Year of Queens. Day 76. Today is August 5th. One year ago we played at Jack-of-the-Woods. We’ve been a band for one year. Congratulations on going further and faster and smashing every expectations - and really making some very beautiful music. Congratulations.

Year of Queens. Day 77. We played at The White Horse on Thursday night for Craig’s retirement party. Everyone should play a show like that, with an audience of such kind and invested and generous souls.

Year of Queens. Day 78. One year. And thank you to everyone who has listened and come to shows and followed our adventures. The last two shows we’ve have people come along wearing “dark city kings” t-shirts and it’s been the best thing ever.
